The NewGround Group, Inc. is an organization committed to the development of the local church.  We know church. Our founder and president Don Allensworth is known as one of the top strategic transition specialists in the country.  Over the past several years he has served on staff at churches including, Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia SC, Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler TX and Church at the Mall in Lakeland FL.  Don has undergraduate degrees in Architectural Design and Business.  He completed his MDiV BL at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has served in the roles of Executive Pastor and Student Pastor and brings tremendous creativity and insight to each situation and project.   

Our goal is simply to help churches with strategic transitions.  It's what we do.  Many churches today are in a state of “adolescence” because of challenges due to growth, staffing and budgets.  Our staff and consultants understand those challenges because we have all spent our lives on church staff.  In many cases our consultants still serve on the local church level in one way or another.  We understand the value of being “fresh” and involved in day to day ministry.  You will find no “pie in the sky” or “canned pitches” with us.  If we cannot come along side you and add the value you need, then we will both know very quickly.
